The app repeatedly downloads the Washington state map but doesn’t save it, so whenever I try to use the map the app offers to download it.

I want to like this app. I really do but when I put an address in everything has to be spelled out. Dr has to be drive. E has to be east. And yes, I’ve updated the app and the internal maps. Most the time I have to use another app because it can’t find a address. Or it uses the street name and returns a result in a city that’s in another state. I entered Brooks street today and it returned a result 1200 miles away in a city called brooks. I hate having to go back to the other big map app. And if the free version is this buggy I can’t see spending money to see it full capabilities. Shame. It has promise but way too many issues.

When putting in the current city, and country for directions it continued to say I was in another country hundreds of kms away

This app is so hard to use. I tried to add my home and work address and I couldn’t do it. Waste of time - DELETED

The navigation does not work well in PR. It doesn’t recognize most restaurants or addresses and once got me stuck on a toll road that had no exit and I was delayed almost an hour after it advised me to make a U-turn through a dividing wall.

I repeatedly get error messages when I ask for directions to legitimate addresses

I’m not the review type. Paid for a subscription right off the bat. I’m a handyman and on accuracy. On the dozen occasions to guide me to a specific house, I was at least four houses away from it. Google maps was right on. Neither Apple, nor this company would refund my $10, kind of lame.

I like you can configure the directions screen. Good overall.

En la versión gratuita necesita más herramientas en el mapa como por ejemplo agregar el nombre de ruta por la que se está conduciendo como el estilo Garmin y a la hora de buscar una ruta tener más opciones de navegación y otras opciones. estas son unas ideas a tener en cuenta-me encanta la aplicación sigan mejorándola muchas gracias.

my ipad freezes up and the app crashes whenever i use it

No satellite image & would not bring up any businesses to even see TO enter to navigate. All 3 addresses I randomly chose said “Access Denied” all in cartoon so would not allow me to zoom in to see the actual street OR location and only showed landscape names not street names with no option to customize. Useless unfortunately and I was excited as a review said it was offline and didn’t use data but it does and it saves your searches so found that in settings so I could delete it. I need a map for both options to use online and offline that doesn’t take up storage by saving anything unless I ask it to or download for offline viewing later. Once these “bugs” are worked out and able to use satellite and zoom in to see actual places with labels including all streets and businesses I’ll give it a try again.

For the love of g*d, please hire a content strategist/UX designer and do some usability testing. Then, consider a tutorial/set up flow. I appreciate the capabilities of this app, thus the 2 stars. But, it’s a hot mess (emphasis on MESS). Deleting. Maybe I’ll try again in a couple of years…

Turn by turn maps while completely offline in the palm of your hand is amazing. Great supplementary solution to paper maps for anything outdoors.

5/10/2024. The iOS version still does not have turn by turn instructions 12/20/2023 I wish the app had turn by turn directions on iOS. I noticed it is available on Android. Other than that it is a great app. 11/5/2024 It would be nice if the iOS version of your app had online search like the android version.

look i get it we all wanna find an alternative to google, but you can’t make it this hard. the settings and functionality of this app are just unnecessarily convoluted. wanna change something on the display? good luck, there’s like 7 different places it could be, and even then you'll somehow only change what you wanted for a different mode you didn’t know existed. the learning curve is just too high. make it simple and lots more people will use this. we need a private mapping alternative

Ima be walking an 11 hr “trip” to another place & ofc I’ll have no Wi-Fi so I asked ChatGPT and it told me this app!!!! Rlly nice UI and navigation & pathfinding algorithms work well offline… if a map doesn’t download try clearing a few gb of space even if u think u have enough (it needs room bc the data is claustrophobic)… & u can set ur own important points like “my house” and “(another place im goin to)” rlly nicely & it still pathfinds for FOOT between them (not js car)!!! Get this app bc it works even better then online maps work when they have Wi-Fi, & u don’t even need Wi-Fi to use it

I wanted to find an alternative to Google maps. Loaded this app. App required I download maps. I initially only downloaded my state; but I travel all of North America regularly, so I downloaded North America. I noticed while learning the app that my device memory was dramatically decreasing as it worked in the background. Immediately deleted the app. My device memory is still significantly reduced & I can’t find where it stored the files to delete them & free up my storage again.

Maps are not up-to-date and at least 3 years behind. I was not able to find my own street/location. I have tried to contact the company for support but without any result. DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

I really loved the idea of having downloaded maps on my phone for motorcycle travel but I have yet to find a single address within the US that this program will find. I type in the exact, specific, legal address and it doesn't even come close. Most of the time it's not even in the same state. So, when i just click on a destination and try to get routred there, the app simply shuts down, 100% of the time. It has never worked for me. iPhone 15 Pro. Although it's only $10, I hope they issue me a refund as the aap serves no purpose for me now.

It’s stuck on imperial units. Can’t find anywhere in the menus to change to SI. Pretty confusing when the road signs don’t match.

Very hard to learn to use.

I love the concept of the app, however it under delivers in crucial aspects. If I want to navigate to a city, not an address, it simply cannot do it. You can’t even select just the road, you have to do a numeric address too. Literally every other navigation app can navigate you to a city without specifics.

Can't find that option.

You still haven’t made updates to Car Play functionality that people have been begging for and now the app keeps crashing. Since the update, when running on my phone and in Car Play the map keeps “recalculating” every 1-2 seconds and then eventually crashes after 30-60 seconds. I’ve even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the entire app.

I downloaded maps for the US West and then imported a few thousand favorites (some selected iOverlander data) and the app became unusable. Wanted to like it since it seems fairly flexible, but it got so slow and unstable it’s not tolerable.

Tried to use this app to plan camping trips to South Carolina, Georgia, amd Alabama. Even major state parks are not in the database, and forget about National wildlife management areas. You also can’t just use a general location, like Santee, South Carolina - you have to know a specific address to do a lookup. I paid for an annual subscription - a complete waste of money. Since Apple Maps now allows downloading of offline maps, this app has become superfluous anyway.

Does not provide correct directions. When typing an address, the app does not recognize it from the few starting characters like in other navigation apps, you have to type complete address.

I just wanted to see the map. App tried to guess my location as Kansas (I’m in Oakland, CA) so I skipped the auto load. Then I tried to get a local map. My options were SF or CA, so I chose CA. Map download started slowly. After a few min, I estimated it would take about an hour to get the CA map, so I stopped and deleted the app.

I wasn't able to change the voice permanently to Ava from the default Samantha (Spoken Content nor Speech in iOS). It would revert back. The map danced like crazy when I was stationary. The sheer amount of options and the way to get to them was too convoluted for me. Why so many profiles? Why are the menus so deep and repeat themselves in different places? Why do I have to manually set the same settings for each profile? I don't mind buying maps, but not in this state of user unfriendliness.

OSM just keeps getting better and better. Every time that I travel to other countries, I always use OSM. It has helped me out immensely.

The app keeps crashing and can’t even find simple addresses in the US. Navigation feature does not work and does not show the route. Route creation feature is useless because to set points you have to click on the map, you can’t enter businesses or addresses. I like all the routing customizations but it does not work. I have latest version app and iOS as of 1/11/24.

Worst app I’ve ever used. I enter a destination, a city name, or address all with PERFECT spelling and it only recognizes cities like Los Angeles or New York. I’m not from either of those places so I’m deleting this fake app.

كل ما ذكر في الإعلان غير صحيح حاولت ولكن لا يستفاد منه مثله مثل خرايط جوجل يعني عجيب إذا هم يقولون حتى مواقع الأمطار ومع ذلك ما يجيب حتى أسماء القرى ! لو قالو لي عطنا 39 ريال عطى عطيتهم ولكن لا يقولون شي غير صحيح حتى الواتساب ما عاد ردو علي رغم تواصلي معهم عدة مرات .
